UND Family Weekend 2013

This fall my family met up in Grand Forks, North Dakota for a weekend of Fighting Sioux football!
This was the first time we had ALL been together since Luke, now in his second year of college, graduated high school. Manny and I arrived in Grand Forks a day earlier than everyone else and spent time with Luke and his roommates. Manny had the best time talking football with the three football players, in fact, I think the only non-related football thing said was to ask me when I was going to make them cookies?!

Friday after the fam bam arrived we ate at our favorite pizza buffet the Pizza Ranch, took over the pool and waterslides at the hotel, and hung out a little with a family (and good friend of Luke's) we knew growing up in Montana.

Saturday was game day!  It is such a fun atmosphere around the Alerus Center on game day. We braved the wind and rain with the rest of the tailgaters and waited for our team to arrive...

After braving the wind and rain and buying out yet another sale rack of UND apparel, we headed into the Alerus Center to hunt down the BEST cinnamon and sugared almonds and settled in for some Fighting Sioux football!! Go #45!!

After the game, we had a little more celebrating to do. Two little boys had birthdays coming up!

Kolby was turning 1...

 and Blake was turning 3!!

Our weekend together was too short. We all had a blast and shared a lot of laughs!! It was so fun to be a part of Luke's life at UND and to see how God is using him on the football field and in the town of Grand Forks!
