It was cold but so pretty. Manny got to see the Bean, and we watched the ice skaters at Millenium Park. Some went to the Christkindl Market a few blocks away while the rest of us stayed warm and ate at Panera Bread.
During the days before Christmas, we did lots of fun Christmas(y) things with the kiddos..including going to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops. Apparently they only hand out so many tickets per day and we didn't get a ticket. Oh well...there were lots of other fun things to do!
Early on Christmas Eve our festivities began! We ate at Cracker barrel for lunch and then headed to the Christmas Eve service at church that evening.
We attempted to take pictures of the kids and our families since everyone was all dressed up. However, that quickly turned south and left my sister and I cranky...thank you uncooperative kids and husbands :)
We finished out Christmas Eve watching "White Christmas" and eating lots of food! On Christmas morning, my brother and sister-in-law arrived early and we opened presents and ate Christmas dinner. It was such a fun and relaxing day!
We did a family sleigh ride turned hay ride (thanks to no snow) in Wisconsin. It was a little chilly but we had a blast! The little boys LOVED the ride and going fast. They got to feed the horses after the ride and sit on them. And then we all had a campfire...
A few other random pictures from our 10 days in Chicago with the fam bam :)
We did manage to get a good picture of everyone (minus the fist in the mouth)!
And just like that we were saying goodbye and heading back to sunny California.
We had another interesting flying experience out of Chicago O'hare! Our 4 hour direct flight turned into a 12 hour travel day complete with delays, a busy baby, lost luggage, and traffic. Thankfully the little miss did a lot of this..
