Gabriella- 9 months old

At nine months, Gabriella is 22 pounds 11 ounces and 30 inches long. She wears size 3 diapers and 12-18 month clothes. She even fits into some 2T shirts thanks to her long torso.

This month Gabriella learned to crawl and is on the go all.the.time.  Crawling has led her to discover many new places and try new things- cords behind the tv, trying to eat dog food, and fitting into any nook and cranny she can find. The discovery of new things (outlets, buttons on the cable/xbox, cords etc) has led to being disciplined much more often. She usually claps after being disciplined or has no regard for being told No. We have a long ways to go.... :)
We've enjoyed swimming and playing at the park this month! Gabriella loves the pool and it tires her out. We got a big shaded floatie thing with a giraffe and all. She wasn't impressed and would rather not be in it. ha ha!

We celebrated my 30th birthday by going on a (lame) hike in the morning...and then a fun dinner at Cheesecake Factory that night. I guess when you grow up hiking in Montana and Colorado expectations are a little high. Walking through a bunch of rocks in the blazing hot and walking 5 minutes to a waterfall in the mountains wasn't exactly what we had expected. But oh well-we at least got a pretty picture!!
We celebrated Easter this month! We were up bright and early (5:30 am) and had plenty of time for the little miss to open her first Easter basket. Really it was just things I wanted for her :) We went to church and then had dinner with Manny's family.

We went to a few birthday parties this month, and Gabriella tried out the bounce house for the first time. Really no one was in there and we just needed something to entertain her.

Gabriella goes to bed between 6:30-7 pm and usually sleeps anywhere from 5:30-7:30 am. She has been in the habit lately of waking up around 3 am to eat. We solved that problem by giving her oatmeal then a bottle before bed :) Naps continue to be a struggle and pretty inconsistent as far as how long she will sleep (30 minutes to 2 hours) and when she will go down. We are working on that, but often times the little miss plays, rolls around, claps, and tries to stand up in her crib...really anything to keep her from actually falling asleep.
During one nap time, she played in her crib until I was done working out and during that time she was BUSY....rolling all over her crib, clapping, trying to stand. When I finally went in to lay her back down, I had a big surprise waiting for me. She had a blowout which was now all over her bed thanks to the rolling around. It was even stuck to the posts on her crib because she had sat against them, and it was on her arm (thankfully none got into her mouth!). She was clapping, the dogs were trying to lick the rails of her crib (gross), and I had a big mess to clean!
This month the little miss has really kept us on our toes. She has mastered crawling and doesn't stay in one place very long. We are constantly on the move chasing after her! We love to see her discover and learn new things. Gabriella isn't very "chatty" but gives a lot of smiles, loves to wave her arms, and clap.  We see the biggest smile and hear the best laughs when we turn on her TV shows- Doc McStuffins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Gabriella is very friendly and loves to be wherever we are...well until a cord, outlet, or anything else she shouldn't be getting into is in sight. Her favorite toy this month....our bathroom scale.
