Gabriella-1 year old

And just like that she is one year old!! At one, Gabriella weighs 24 1/2 pounds and is 31 1/2 inches long. She has now outgrown all of her 12 month clothes and onto 18months-2T. She is in size 4 diapers.

We had a very busy month! We kicked off the month with the second half of our baby and me swim class. Little miss did great, and I was surprised at how much she improved in the 2 weeks we spent in the water. She was able to put her head under water, do some swimming motions, and ride a waterslide on the last day of class. She wasn't too impressed or thrilled with the waterslide.
We spent the 4th of July with my in-laws. Gabriella practiced her walking with her dad and then we watched fireworks. The fireworks didn't even phase her. She did enjoy watching them!

We got to meet up with my cousin Katelyn and meet her boyfriend (turned fiancee during the trip!) Austin. We had a great time with them and the little miss really liked both of them!

Gabriella added a few more words to her vocabulary. She now says mama, daddy, doggy, bella (our dog), quack quack, hi, and papa. She is also starting to mimic more and more words we say.  Her favorite word is daddy...and she says it a hundred times a day :) Gabriella obeyed her first command this month when I told her to go get her baby, and she went and found it.

Gabriella did a cake smash and had her One Year pictures taken by La Ti Da Studio to complete her milestone package. She was very hesitant about the cake but then she dived in (those pictures to come later). I thought it would be fun to have her pictures taken in my wedding dress too. She sat very still while in the dress-I was impressed since the girl can't sit still....ever!
We spent part of this month on our vacation to Montana! The little miss did great on the trip. Now at one year old she has been to 11 states: California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. I would love for my family to visit all 50 states so this is a good start :)
And we finished off the month celebrating the little miss's birthday. The day was very low key since we had just returned from vacation. My mom came home with us, and it was fun to have her here to celebrate with us! We did a little family party but nothing big since we were all exhausted and since Gabriella won't remember anything.

Happy Birthday sweet Gabriella Reese! It has been an incredible year with you, and we are so thankful for the gift of your life. You brighten our day and can always put a smile on our faces! We pray that your little heart with know Jesus and live for him. We can't wait to see what your second year holds. Love you so much!
